The hotel was quiet and in a very nice location
There are no local facilities close to the hotel so if you were staying more than one night it could become tedious

My stay at this incredible castle was simply mind-blowing! The well-maintained castle with its stunning views left me in awe. The spacious room with a beautiful terrace was a dream come true. The desserts were absolutely super! Although there was a minor mix-up with the dinner order for our child, the staff quickly corrected it. And thanks to my husband's fluent French, we were able to easily communicate our orders. The friendly and helpful staff were a joy to interact with. The public spaces, including a cozy fireplace room, were top-notch. The secure parking and outside spaces were a great convenience. The breakfast spread, although a bit pricey, offered a nice selection of high-quality items. The free Wi-Fi, swimming pool, flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and pets allowed really added to the already amazing experience. This place has so much potential to be the perfect spot, nestled in the heart of the stunning wine region, just in need of a little more attention.

Not much
The manager was very unpleasant. He moved me from one room to the next, which I said was fine and I had no problem, but then told me that because of the price I was getting the room for through bookings.com I need to give the hotel a 10 out of 10 rating when you asked. At checkout he presented a bill which he had written on that I gave the hotel a 10 out of 10 and told me to sign it. When I looked at the bill it did not have a credit for one nights deposit that I thought that I had paid, so I asked him if he had not charged me for one night already. He said no he had not. I paid the bill in full, but before leaving I got on my computer and looked at my accounts and found that he had charged me for one night previously. I showed him and he refunded me. On the whole a pretty crappy 4 star hotel more like a 3 star.

We were there for celebrating anniversary and had a relaxing stay. The location was stunning and unique, just a pleasant stroll away from Chapelle Saint-Denis. The hotel was a reasonable base for enjoying a fairly nice area.

An experience to stay in a grand building with such history.
No safe in room Room not ready on arrival 3.45pm Sunday. As Hotel under capacity Sunday night - surely Guests arriving that day should have rooms readied first ? Waited half an hour for room to be ready,no complimentary drink offered - cold juice would have been fine.Buffet breakfasts understaffed, coffee cold, hot water for tea making luke warm.Swiss guests laughed at the absence of staff and standards ! The most positive feedback we can say is the room was comfortable and cleaned well. Unfortunately the superior room has toilet in a closed area approx 1.0metre x 0.6m without ventilation, the door opens onto bedroom.

Beautiful property, both grounds and interior
Location - while private within the chateau's small grounds, it was centered within a curious and bustling local community

Just had an amazing second stay at Chateau De Rochegude! From the warm and professional welcome to the stunning room with a breathtaking view, everything was perfect. The historical location, beautifully restored with great taste, added to the charm. And let's not forget the outstanding 5-course meal at the restaurant. Can't wait to return!
Strongly recommend this hotel.
